Woven Trivet – Packing Material to 70s Chic

0

While wooden scraps are most prominent in a wood shop, there are other materials that usually end up in the trash. Packing bands are one of those materials, but with very little effort, you can turn them into a useful piece that can even be atributed with some style. Enjoy, and remember to be Inspired!

A Word of Caution!

As you saw, these bands are thermoplastic, which means that they are susceptible to heat. This is, of course, not the best trait you are looking for in a trivet. Thus, these are not meant for the hottest of the hot, like pots or pans, but for cups, glasses and bowls. You have, in essence, been warned. But they still look cool.
